Frequent Questions
Can we come see them?
The puppies health is our first priority.
Guests with Deposits may come to see the pups after the 5 week mark. Socialization guests may come to see them at the 7 week mark.
We require shoes off and hands washed before touching any of the puppies.
How big will they be?
Size with doodles can be very deceiving. The pups should be around 50-60lbs as an adult. Some may be larger, some may be smaller.

Keep in mind standard poodles & the golden retrievers are generally anywhere from 50-100lbs.
When can they go home?
We prefer to keep them to the 9 week mark but they technically can go home at 8 weeks after their wellness exam. We will not allow any of the pups to go home before 8 weeks.

We will send the new babies home with a small blanket and items with their scents on them. A small bag of food. Information about their history, parents history & our recommendations for training, grooming, etc.

The new owners will be responsible for picking them up unless other arrangements are made.
Deposit & Waitlists?
In order to be placed on the official wait list for a puppy, a Non-refundable $500 deposit must be submitted to Ginni Candelaria of Pure Joy Golden Doodles.

After that we pick puppies at the 5-6 weeks of age mark & another deposit will be due for budget purposes & at week 7 they will actually see a vet. This money helps with the vet costs. Final payment is due at pick up with either a Venmo Transfer or Cash.

Wait List order is maintained based on the date the deposit was received. If you remove yourself from a wait list after the puppies are born you cannot return to that list unless space is still available, and you will forfeit your “picking order”. In the event you decide you don’t want to be on the list & have “life” circumstances we will happily discuss your deposit with you. We do know life happens.

In the event you wanted say a female & there is none left at your spot for picking, you can move your deposit to the next litter & be second pick, or pick the opposite sex. There are no guarantees either way. Both Males & Females have pluses & minus to their personalities.

If for any reason you decide that none of the puppies in a litter meet your desires, you can voluntarily move your deposit to a future litter or it becomes non-refundable.
We will only take 5 deposits for a “wait list” per litter. And as soon as pups are born & healthy confirmations we will take the rest of the deposits.
Picking Order
The first Pick is always ours as the Breeder. We prefer to help you pick which Puppies personality is right for you & your family. While looks are a big part, and we know that sometimes it helps to bond with them first, ultimately you want a dog you can love and adore based on what type of dog they are and how they will fit your lifestyle.
Personalities don’t really start showing until the 6-7 week mark. We will allow depositors to start picking at the 5 week mark.
Delivery / Shipping
Delivery may be an option for an additional Fee. We will not send a puppy via Plane unless it is accompanied by a human and is in the cabin. Puppies must be 10-12 weeks old to fly. You will need to provide a travel crate for them to fly under the seats. We also require additional payment for any extra amount time / food / shots & health certificates they may need.
Breeding?
We do make you sign a NON-Breeding Clause. While we are a small breeder & understand the want and need to breed your new pup it does require a LOT of work and knowledge. I would NOT recommend it if you work full time or do not a have a good relationship with your vet. Back in the day it was said its good to breed a female at least once or twice. That is not the case anymore.

Our first litter the female was owned by some one else & the mom got really sick. She was unable to care for them & we were given the pups at 4 weeks. Which is NOT good at all. I did my best by my pups to send them home completely socialized & they turned out wonderfully. A lot of things can happen and if you can not care for them 24/7, I would not recommend breeding. AND I would encourage you to talk to your vet about it. It is not considered what is best for your dog anymore.

We also received a dog that was from a puppy farm. They had way too many puppies at one time. She was not socialized or potty trained one bit. A good breeder will take the time to socialize them and get them ready for their new homes. We work VERY hard at this & will start them potty training as soon as possible.

If you would like to breed, please think about it carefully. There is A LOT to consider.
I will ask for a non-breeding clause to be signed for all our puppies. However, if you would like to breed please consider talking to me about it. There would be an $1500 additional fee for Breeding Rights.

We would also consider a guardianship program. Where we Breed your dogs here for you.
